The system i.e. dip painting line (10), has a dip painting station painting an object in a aqueous painting medium in a dip painting bowl (12). A set of rinsing stations (14, 16) rinses the painted object with a rinsing medium. A first ultra-filter (30) filters the painting medium from the bowl, and second and third ultra-filters (38, 46) filter water collected in one of the stations. Filtrate of the second and third ultra-filters is transmittable to another station as the rinsing medium, where exclusion size of the second and third ultra-filters lies between 100 nanometer to 1 micrometer. An independent claim is also included for a method for painting an object i.e. body, of a motor vehicle.
