PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition blended with a higher fatty acid salt to contribute to detergency and foam formation and with a powder to contribute to easy rinsing and feeling of smoothness after face washing, wherein the detergent composition is extremely excellent in stability of a base material and discharge nature from a tube. SOLUTION: The detergent composition contains the following components (A), (B), (C) and (D): (A) higher fatty acid salt, (B) crosslinked polymer obtained by copolymerizing acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid and a 1-5C alkyl ester of acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid, (C) water-insoluble powder, (D) water.
