<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel human GIL-19/AE289 protein which shows a high homology to interleukin-10 (IL-10). <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to polynucleotides which encode the above proteins, and a method for therapeutic, diagnostic and research use of the polynucleotides and protein thereof.
