PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter-receiver having an embedded clock interface and an operation method of the transmitter-receiver.

SOLUTION: The operation method includes the steps of: responding to a first clock signal and converting a plurality of data constituents to serial data; transmitting and receiving the serial data; generating a second clock signal from the received serial data; and responding to the second clock signal and converting the serial data to the plurality of data constituents. In the operation method, the step of converting to the serial data includes adding at least one bit of dummy bit including information about the kind of the plurality of data components to the serial data at predetermined intervals.
