Disclosed is a touch-panel input device which comprises a touch panel and an input controller that detects two-point touches on the touch panel in one of two input detecting modes. The input detecting modes include a two-point touch input detecting mode for right fingers suitable for the layout of right fingers and that for left fingers suitable for the layout of left fingers, and can be switched from one to another.
