PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trimming device in which it is a matter of course to make the repair of a trimming blade unnecessary and the cycle time of cutting is shortened. SOLUTION: In an upper die 120, a trimming part 121 is supported movably in the opposite direction to the direction toward a lower die by a supporting part 122. In the lower die 110, the trimming part 121 is energized upward by bringing a cushion part 140 into contact with the guide post 123 of the trimming part 121 before the trimming blade 121A is brought into contact with a workpiece W when the upper die 120 is lowered. The trimming part 121 is decelerated and the speed of the trimming part 121 becomes lower than the speed of the supporting part 122 (driving speed of a press ram 130). Impact to the trimming blade 121A is small because the speed of the trimming part 121 is lower than the driving speed of the press ram 130 when the trimming part 121 is brought into contact with the workpiece W.
