PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for an electrophotographic toner having an excellent low temperature fixing property and hot offset resistance and capable of obtaining an image with favorable glossiness, and to provide the electrophotographic toner using the composition. SOLUTION: The polyester resin composition for the electrophotographic toner contains a polyester resin (A) obtained by making a polybasic acid (a1), a polyhydric alcohol (a2), a monoepoxy compound (a3), a polyepoxy compound having 2 to 4 epoxy groups (a4), a polyepoxy compound (a5) having five or more epoxy groups, and a compound (a6) except for the compounds (a1) to (a5) and having a functional group reactive with a functional group possessed by one of the compounds (a1) to (a5) and having two or more alkyl groups having 2 to 22 carbon atoms directly bonded to one carbon atom react with one another.
