The invention relates to an emergency treatment device (1) for rescuing a patient when there is a failure of cardiac activity, using an externally applicable defibrillation unit (20) associated with a control device (10). Improved emergency care is achieved by additionally connecting a heart pressure massage unit (30) to the control device (10) and by designing the control device (10) so that the defibrillation unit (20) and the heart pressure massage unit (30) are controlled in a mutually coordinated manner according to defined computation algorithms (Fig. 1). |
