<p>The laser beam welding device (10) for connecting two components (1, 2), comprises a laser beam source for generating a laser beam (5), an optical device (12) for forming a circular laser beam in a focusing plane (13), and an evaluation device having a mirror element, by which the radiation reflecting from a joining zone of the components is detected. The evaluating device detects the position of the joining zone relative to the focusing plane, and is directly coupled with a positioning device for positioning the components relative to the focusing plane. The positioning device enables an adjustment of the components in the direction to a longitudinal axis of the laser beam, and additionally enables an adjustment for the components in a plane vertical to the longitudinal axis of the laser beam and for tilting the components. The evaluation device has a sensor element such as photodiode, by which the intensity of the radiation reflecting from the joining zone of the components is detected. The welding device has a focusing lens, which focuses the radiation reflecting from the optical element to the sensor element. Several sensor elements are arranged to the focusing lens and are arranged next to each other in a plane parallel to the plane of the focusing lens. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a laser welding device.</p> |
