An outlet guide vane (70) includes an airfoil (102) including a leading edge (114) and a trailing edge (116), a structural spar (72) formed from a first material located within the airfoil (102), and a fairing (74) formed from a second material at least partially surrounding the spar (72). A gas turbine engine assembly (10) includes a core gas turbine engine (13), a fan assembly (12) including a plurality of fan blades (24) coupled to the core gas turbine engine (13), and a plurality of outlet guide vanes (70) coupled downstream from the fan blades (24), at least one of the outlet guide vanes (70) including an airfoil (102) having a leading edge (114) and a trailing edge (116), a structural spar (72) formed from a first material located within the airfoil (102), and a fairing (74) formed from a second material at least partially surrounding the spar (72).</p> |
