<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The tool has a support body (10) mounted on its periphery with a set of plate-shaped cutting bodies (12) made of a cutting material that is harder than hard metal. The bodies (12) are fastened with its base surface on a periphery of the body (10). A running ahead area of a radially outward peripheral edge forms a cutting edge, an adjacent side surface (15) forms a cutting face with a negative cutting angle, and a surface (17) opposite to the base surface forms a clearance surface. The bodies (12) have a layer forming an upper surface and made of polycrystalline diamond or cubic boron nitride. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Milling tool e.g. side milling cutter or end mill, for smoothing edges and burrs of a work piece made of carbon fiber reinforced resin such as parts of airplane-tail assembly or other work pieces made of glass material, composite materials, laminate, graphite or mineral building material. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The plate-shaped design of the cutting bodies enables to easily solder the cutting bodies on the support body, so that the need for a clamping mechanism for clamping of the cutting bodies on the support body is avoided, hence the tool possesses a very simple structure.
