Wave energy converter is offered that includes a turbine 1, oscillating water column chamber 2, which is partially submerged in the water and into which a turbine 1 submerged in the water is located and which by help of the frame 3 is connected to one or several submersible pontoons 4. The blades of the turbine 1 have an alterable positive and negative twist. The wave energy converter allows to convert wave energy into easily applicable mechanical energy or electric energy. It can be applied as an element of the power supply system in case there is a sea or an ocean with waves high enough in the vicinity, by connecting it up to the distribution power network as well as for local needs where it is impossible to supply electrical energy, for example, for supply with energy offshore oil/gas platforms. The invention can be widely used also in water transport. |
