The edible thermoplastic composition for animals with long chewing duration contains: a source of preliminarily activated vegetable starch, a source of protein, water and a bridge agent. Domestic animal fodder product containing this composition: method for production of the l thermoplastic composition involving the ingredients mixing and thermal treatment.
