The device has an electronic component arranged between one of a set of inputs and one of a set of outputs. The electronic component allows to modify voltage and/or frequency with respect to voltage and nominal frequency of an electrical network, and supply power to an electronic board (3) of an electrical appliance, where the electronic board is connected downstream from a contactor (2) or a programmer (4). Connectors are plug-in type, spring or screw connectors (7) and form the inputs and the outputs. An independent claim is also included for a method for detecting a voltage level at terminals of an electronic board of an electrical appliance.
