PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish a lead for animals which prevent leads keeping a plurality of dogs from being entangled while walking the dogs by enabling lengths of the leads keeping the plurality of dogs to be controlled arbitrarily. SOLUTION: A lead 1 for animals is constituted of: a lead winder 2; a main lead 3 which is extended/rewound from the lead winder 2 to a desired length; and subleads 4, 5 inserted slidably with respect to the main lead 3. By keeping dogs with a hook 3b in the distal end of the main lead 3 and hooks 4d, 5d in distal ends of the subleads 4, 5, three dogs can be kept and walked. At such a time, the subleads 4, 5 are freely movable on the main lead 3 and movable from side to side of the main lead 3, such that the dogs kept on the subleads 4, 5 can have a movable range for a length of the main lead 3 or more.
