摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a compact transfer device operating in a high speed. SOLUTION: The transfer device includes: a cylinder 4 formed with first and second cylindrical groove cams (11, 12) on a side surface and a groove cam 52 on a bottom surface 51; a shaft 21 around which a pinion gear 23 is fit so as to be vertically moved by the first cylindrical groove cam; a rod 22 vertically moved within the shaft by the second cylindrical groove cam; a rack gear 54 meshing with the pinion gear so as to be moved forward and backward by the groove cam; and a chuck unit 6a provided with a pair of two chucks 31 complementary performing grasping and releasing of a workpiece W1. The pinion gear revolves the chuck unit via the shaft. The rod moves vertically in synchronization with the shaft, and, during the halt periodΔt2 of the shaft at a bottom dead center, reaches a second bottom dead center Dd2 lower than the bottom dead center. The paired two chucks complementary change grasp state to release state in one of the chucks and release state to grasp state in the another of the chucks when the rod reaches the second bottom dead center, and on the other hand, maintain the respective chucking states during the interval when the rod is between a top dead center and a first bottom dead center.
