<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with improved aesthetic effect, by applying a color frame to a screen. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes an array board 10 having pixel regions, the pixel regions including a plurality of thin-film transistors T and pixel electrodes 14; a color filter board 20 disposed above the array board 10 and including a plurality of color filters 22, corresponding to the respective pixel regions; black matrices 21 formed in spaces between the plurality of color filters 22; a liquid crystal layer 30 interposed between the array board 20 and the color filter board 20; and further, a color frame layer 23 formed along the outline of the display region, where the plurality of color filters 22 and the black matrix 21 serve as a frame of the screen 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
