PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium playback device with improved convenience in changing a video title and a non-video file. SOLUTION: The recording medium playback device reproduces information recorded in a recording medium mounted so as to be freely detachable, and the recording medium playback device includes: a determination part which, when the recording medium is inserted into the recording medium playback device, determines whether the recording medium stores both the video title and the non-video file recorded thereon (processing executing part of a step S10); a loading processing part which, when the determination part has determined that both the video title and the non-video file are recorded on the recording medium, loads the video title and the non-video file (processing executing part of steps S20 and S30); and a memory storing information obtained by the loading.
