Embodiments of the present invention disclose a session management method, system and device based on Machine to Machine (M2M) application, wherein the method includes the steps of: obtaining the gateway device information and the group number information of group user equipments (A101); when it is clear that the group information of the group user equipments has been changed, informing the gateway device to perform bearer modification processing on the group user equipments according to the gateway device information and the group number information of the group user equipments, and performing the bearer modification processing on the group user equipments (A102). The method reduces the signaling congestion at the network side and correspondingly lightens the network load.
