<p>The disclosed signal processing device (500a) carries out a process for sharpening moving images on signals that represent moving images which are made up of a plurality of frames, and outputs signals that represent the sharpened moving images. The device is provided with: a motion detection unit (200) which detects motion between frames for each block region formed from a plurality of adjoining pixels or 1 pixel constituting a frame; a sharpening processing unit (100) which generates sharpened harmonics by carrying out a non-linear processing, by means of a non-linear processing unit (102), on signals which represent the images in the block regions where motion was detected; and a signal output unit (300) which outputs harmonics which are the sharpened signals representing a moving image in the block regions, for the block regions where motion has been detected, and outputs a signal showing a moving image in the block region, for block regions where motion has not been detected.</p> |
