PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine which suppresses the deterioration of putout ball increase speed and does not impart an impression that a privilege game state is finished so quickly to a player. SOLUTION: It is shifted to a privilege game state (a variable probability state) that is easier to shift to a special game state than a normal game state, until the number of variations of a symbol reaches a prescribed upper limit number of times, based on that the special game state is finished (S452, S 459, S370, S374). A variation pattern is defined so that variation time of the symbol in an anterior half section (variable probability A state) of the period shifted to the privilege game state is relatively shorter than the variation time of the symbol in a posterior half section (variable probability B state) of the privilege game state.
