PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable radio without deteriorating antenna performance even if using a verbal phone call function or even if using an Internet connection function. SOLUTION: A first antenna 4 is arranged in a short-side direction of the upper end of a first housing 1A, a second antenna 5 is arranged in a long-side direction of a left-side end of a second housing 1B, a switch 8 is controlled in using a verbal telephone call function to be switched to the first antenna 4, and the switch 8 is controlled in using an Internet connection function to be switched to the second antenna 5. By arranging the first antenna 4 in the short-side direction of the upper end of the first housing 1A, the first antenna 4 is prevented from being covered with a hand in a vertical opening use, and the performance of the first antenna 4 is not deteriorated. By arranging the second antenna 5 in the long-side direction at the left side end of the second housing 1B, the second antenna 5 is prevented from being covered with a hand in a lateral opening use, and the performance of the second antenna 5 is not deteriorated.
