PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing detection mechanism capable of surely detecting an open/closed state of a member covering an opening, and a portable terminal device. SOLUTION: When a second member 12 is mounted onto a first member 11 and an opening 11a is covered, a plurality of adjacent electrodes 14 disposed along an edge of the opening 11a are conducted by a conductive member 13.
