PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively connect a plurality of external power supplies to an external power supply connection unit provided at a vehicle-body side, and to prevent erroneous connection of a power supply. SOLUTION: An electric construction machine includes a chopper device 19 for performing charge control of an on-vehicle battery 18 by power from first and second external power supplies 28, 29, a controller 22, and the like. A power supply selecting device 24 is composed of the external power supply connection units 25A, 25B mutually adjacently provided at positions accessible from the outside of the vehicle body and individually connected to the external power supplies 28, 29, and a rotating cover 27 rotatably provided between the external power supply connection units 25A, 25B. In selecting one of the external power supply connection units 25A, 25B, the rotating cover 27 is rotated to a position, where the other external power supply connection unit is covered, to prevent erroneous connection of the power supply.
