<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, easily and surely achieving meshing of a rack gear and a pinion gear in the replacement work for a toner supply unit. <P>SOLUTION: The pinion gear 38 is provided with a recess part 38a which does not mesh with the rack gear 36 so that when an operating lever is placed in a locking position, the toner supply unit is energized toward a photoreceptor drum only by energizing of a coil spring. A tooth part 36a of an end part in the rack gear 36 away from the photoreceptor drum is formed larger than the other tooth parts 36b, 36c so that in the initial stage of operation for returning the operating lever from an unlock position to a locking position, the recess part 38a is allowed to mesh with an adjacent tooth part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
