PURPOSE: A visible light communication system and method thereof are provided to reduce the influence of the propagation characteristic in the light propagation. CONSTITUTION: A channel estimator(236) estimates a channel matrix based on the corresponding optical signal. A color compensating unit(238) compensates an optical signal based on a channel matrix by the channel estimator. A color coordinate demodulating unit(242) demodulates transmission data by detecting the combination of a color based on the output signal.
