<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the fixing strength of a handrail part and avoid the enlargement of a device body by attaching the handrail part being grasped when using a device body, to a dwelling house separately from the device body in an exercise assist device. <P>SOLUTION: This exercise assist device is provided with a footrest part 7b installed on a floor FL for a user to mount thereon and reciprocating relative to the floor FL. When the user H grasps the handrail HN attached to a mirrored wash cabinet CB in a standing posture and operates the device body 7, the footrest 7b reciprocates. When the footrest part 7b moves, the positional relation between the foot positions of the user H and the gravity center position is changed to cause muscle contraction by the reaction for keeping the balance, thereby exerting an exercise effect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
