A resilient suspension member (30) for suspending a mass element (10, 12, 14, 16) of a vibration actuator. The suspension member preferably exhibits damping that is at least seven times greater than that of a corresponding suspension member of the same shape and dimensions, and formed of stainless steel. The suspension member may be formed of at least one of: a material having a laminated structure; and a plastics material. Also provided is a resilient suspension member comprising: an outer link (44), for attachment to the frame (20); an inner structure (42), for attachment to the mass element (10, 12, 14, 16); and a ring (46), connected to both the inner structure and outer link.
