<p>Pharmaceutical composition utilising combinations of the native GnRH hormone and/or one of its mimetics, bonded without distinction by the amino or carboxyl extremities thereof to a carrier molecule, in one case through its carboxyl extremity and in the other through its terminal amino, generating a rapid and potent immunological response to the endogenous GnRH hormone finally leading to ablation of the GnRH and consequently of the remainder of the hormones involved in the GnRH/LHâFSH/Testosterone-(oestrogens) cascade and facilitating exposure to the immune system of a greater number of epitopes of GnRH or one of its mimetics and minimising the steric hindrance produced by the carriers. This invention has direct application in the castration of animals of economic interest and pet animals, in fertility control in humans, and in the treatment of hormone-sensitive tumours: prostrate, mammary, ovary, endometrium, testicle, hypophysis, salivary gland and other types of human tumour.</p> |
