The carcass has a pin (2) provided with an upper rod (22) adapted to cooperate with a head (5) of a headrest (1), and a lower rod (24) adapted to engage in a backrest of the seat. The lower rod is made of plastic e.g. thermoplastic material such as polypropylene and polyamide, and fixed partly in the upper rod. The lower rod has a fitting element provided at an upper end, where the element co-operates with a lower end of the upper rod. The upper end is made of metal.
