PURPOSE: A guide and retention assembly for a die set is provided to enable facing plates or molds to be guided in a metal processing process and ensure appropriate lubricating effect of a bushing and a rod. CONSTITUTION: A guide and retention assembly for a die set comprises a housing, a bushing and a rod(18). The housing comprises a flange(32), a sleeve(34) and a bore passing through the flange and the sleeve. The flange is formed so that the sleeve is attached to a first plate in a state of being held in the hole of the first plate(12). Bushing is held in the bore and is arranged in the sleeve. The rod is slidably held on the bushing to axially reciprocate to the housing and is attached to a second plate(14) facing the first plate. |
