IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD OF IMAGE READER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method capable of reproducing a high quality image by suppressing stripes of light and darkness. SOLUTION: The image processing method of an image reader 10 in which a plurality of image sensors 13 are arranged in a staggered state and image sensors adjacent to each other are arranged by partially overlapping each other to read an image of an original 20 includes steps of: performing black correction and white correction on image data outputted from each image sensor; correcting deviations of each image data subjected to the black correction and white correction in a sub-scanning direction; correcting image brightness of each image data with the deviations in the sub-scanning direction corrected by multiplying the entire pixel values of image data by each image sensor by a gain corresponding to each image sensor such that the average values of pixel values of areas overlapped on each other are matched with each other; and combining each image data whose brightness is corrected to reproduce the image.
