PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocating compressor achieving simplification of the structure of the reciprocating compressor and also reducing costs and an installation site, in the reciprocating compressor circulating a heat medium to thereby interrupt heat transfer between a gas compression section and a piston driving section. SOLUTION: The reciprocating compressor includes: the gas compression section 1 having a cylinder 4 and a piston 8 compressing gas taken into the inside of the cylinder 4; the piston driving section 2 for driving the piston 8; and a heat interruption section 3 arranged between the gas compression section 1 and the piston driving section 2, and preventing transfer of heat of the gas compression section 1 to the piston driving section 2. The piston driving section 2 has a lubricating oil circulation mechanism 23 composing a circulation path with lubricating oil 18 circulated through the heat interruption section 3 and a bearing used for each sliding portion in this order.
