PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a gas sensor, a container for the gas sensor, and the gas sensor, capable of improving reliability. SOLUTION: This substrate for the gas sensor used for the gas sensor 1 for detecting detection object gas by being mounted on an installation object 21 includes: a base 2 having a first main surface 2a, and a second main surface 2b positioned on the opposite side to the first main surface 2a, to be mounted on the installation object 21; and a placing part 3 provided on the first main surface 2a of the base 2, for placing thereon a gas-sensitive body 4 which is active to the detection object gas.
