<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using lithium titanate for a negative electrode and having high output performance even at a low temperature atmosphere. <P>SOLUTION: Low temperature output performance of the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using Mg-substituted lithium titanate can be considerably improved.
