PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft for an engine testing, which reduces a torsional rigidity without increasing a length. SOLUTION: The shaft 1 which connects the output shaft of an engine 11 with the rotary shaft of a dynamometer 20 is formed in a folding shape having shaft-like parts 2, 3 and 4 and folding parts 5 and 6 connecting end portions of the shaft-like parts 2, 3 and 4 to each other and has substantially a length obtained by bringing the shaft-like parts 2-4 and the folding parts 5 and 6 together.
