<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system and a mobile communication device having a strong possibility of designation of a proper destination. <P>SOLUTION: In a destination information analysis part 41, when URI showing a destination or other information for identifying the destination is included in a given object ('acquired' in step S41b, or 'acquired' in step S41c), if the acquired information is a fixed telephone number ('fixed telephone number' in step S41d), the number is converted into an address (step S41e), and the latitude and the longitude of the destination are determined and reported to a route retrieval part (step S41g).
