<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a calculation result which is beneficial to a user in the calculation of a symbolic equation. <P>SOLUTION: A scientific electronic calculator includes: an input key group which receives an input operation of a symbolic equation from a user and a CPU which calculates a first calculation result composed of only integers or both integers and symbols by simplifying the input symbolic equation. The CPU determines whether or not the first calculation result has same notation as the symbolic equation, and displays the first calculation result when determining that the first calculation result does not have the same notation. Also, when it is determined that the first calculation result and the symbolic equation have same notation, the CPU converts the first calculation result into a decimal to obtain a second calculation result, and displays the second calculation result as the calculation result of the symbolic equation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
