PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wick for a combustion appliance, which easily determines inclusion of water in kerosene. SOLUTION: The wick 1 for the combustion appliance includes a suction part 2 and a heat resistant combustion part 4 jointed to the upper part of the suction part 2 via a connection part 3 by sewing thread 5. A water inclusion display part 10 colored when reacting with water is provided in the entire circumference portion of a lower part of the suction part 2 of the wick 1 for the combustion appliance formed into a cylindrical shape by jointing abutment parts 6 by sewing thread 7 with the suction part 2 and the heat resistant combustion part 4 integrated with each other. Thus, if water is included in kerosene, when the water sucked together with the oil reaches the water inclusion display part 10, a coloring material reacts with the water from the lower side of the water inclusion display part 10 and is colored.
