<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal processing apparatus and display method thereof which import letter information sent on the air, and display it in an arbitrary display form and at the arbitrary timing. <P>SOLUTION: The video signal processing apparatus includes: a memorizing means for holding a recorded program; an output means for outputting a video signal of the program obtained from the memorizing means to a display; an obtaining means for obtaining caption data concerning the video from the video signal; a storing means for extracting the caption data from the obtaining means to store them; and a display synthesizing means for creating a caption from the caption data stored in the storing means in asynchronism with a program reproduction position, to carry out display synthesizing process of superimposing this caption on the video. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
