PURPOSE:To increase the voltage of a stator winding and to reduce a power loss by fixing the potential of the outer periphery of an insulating vessel to a ground potential. CONSTITUTION:A stator winding 6 is contained in a double cylindrical insulating insulating vessel 2 which is surrounded by outer and inner cylinders made of reinforced plastic of glass fiber and annular terminal boards for coupling the both ends of the both cylinders. An insulating medium 8 having insulating breakdown strength higher than air is filled in the space around the winding 6 in the vessel 2. A low resistance layer 9 having 10-10<3>OMEGA of surface resistivity is formed on the bore surface of at least inner cylinder of the enclosure of the vessel 3, grounded to fix the outer periphery of the vessel 2 to the ground potential. |
