<p>An adjustment device (2) for a chair (1 ) with a seat (3) and a back rest (4) comprising a frame (6) and a back cushion (5). The adjustment device (2) is attached to the back cushion (5) and is adapted to slide in relation to the frame (?) to adjust the height of the back cushion in relation to the seat (3). The frame (6) or a support plate (10) attached to the frame (?) comprises a first and a second slot ( 12, 13) in which the adjustment device (2) is adapted to slide. It is characterised in that the adjustment device (2) comprises a locking plate (8) and a tensioning device (7). The locking plate (8) has at least two locking arms (8a, 8b) protruding in opposite directions from first sides of the plate (8) transverse to the extension direction of the first and second slot ( 12, 13) and the tensioning device (7) is adapted to create a force (F) on a surface (8') of the locking plate (8) acting in a direction essentially transverse to the surface (8'). The locking arms (8a, 8b) are adapted to slide in the first and second slots ( 12, 13) when no force (F) is applied and to lock the locking arms (8a, 8b) in the slots ( 12, 13) when the force (F) is applied.</p> |
