PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device for displaying, in which workability is improved and which is excellent in assembly work. SOLUTION: A device main body 1 is formed in a box shape having an aperture in a front with a rear plate 1a and a frame section, and an attachment hole 11 with an electric line insertion hole 10 in the frame section is included and a rear side aperture 1g through which fingers can be inserted to the rear plate 1a is included. A reinforcement plate 32 is made of metal, and a top plate section 40 with a hole 42 facing the electric line insertion hole 10, which reinforces the attachment hole 11 in an inner face of the frame section of the device main body 1, is included, and a rear plate section 41 having a connection aperture 48 facing the rear side aperture 1g for reinforcing the rear plate 1a, is included. A display unit 6 closes the aperture. A lamp holder 2 makes the display unit 6 light on. A lighting block 3 turns on a lamp of the lamp holder 2 attached to a rear face plate section 41.
