Post installation

An apparatus for permitting removable installation and securement of a post 10 in a section of ground 12 is described. The apparatus comprises a receptacle 22 which receives a portion of the post 10 and at least one locking member 30 which is inserted into the receptacle. The receptacle 22 axially restrains the/each locking member 30 when the post 10 is installed. The post 10 may be secured to the locking member 30 once it is in position by a bolt passing through bores 32, 36 in the locking member 30 and the post 10. The locking member 30 may have a protrusion 34 which engages a recess 26 in the receptacle 22 to restrain the locking member 30 against movement relative to the receptacle 22.
