PURPOSE: A security and safety fence using a wire rope is provided to enable easy control of the tension of the wire rope, thereby facilitating maintenance. CONSTITUTION: A security and safety fence(100) comprises posts(110) which are formed on two sides of a place designated for fall prevention and embedded with a plurality of rotating pulleys(111) arranged at regular vertical intervals, a wire rope(120) which is alternately rolled around the rotating pulleys, an elastic member(130) which is connected to the middle of the wire rope, and a tension maintaining member(140) which is connected to the wire rope.
