<p>A thermosensitive recording material including: a support; an undercoat layer containing at least a water-soluble resin; a thermosensitive coloring layer containing a leuco dye and a developer; and a protective layer containing a water-soluble resin and a fluorescent whitening agent, wherein the undercoat layer, the thermosensitive coloring layer, and the protective layer are formed in this order over the support, wherein the undercoat layer has a single layer structure or a multilayer structure, and the protective layer has a single layer structure or a multilayer structure, and wherein the undercoat layer has an air permeance of 150 mL/min or less.
