The solar cell power supply is provided with: an assembled battery (40) comprising a plurality of battery modules arranged in parallel, said battery modules in turn comprising a plurality of rechargeable cylindrical battery cells (41) connected in series in the lengthwise direction of said cylinders; a slab-shaped battery box (20) which houses the assembled battery (40); and a solar cell panel (10) comprising a plurality of solar cells which are capable of generating power to charge the assembled battery (40). The battery box (20) is positioned on the rear surface of the solar cell panel (10), and the solar cell panel (10) and the assembled battery (40) are positioned approximately parallel to one another so as to maintain an approximately constant distance between the two, and the battery module of the assembled battery is held in a non-horizontal manner.
