<p>There is disclosed a method for distributing data across a network which comprises a plurality of nodes. The method includes a step of publishing the class of the data, said step being performed by a node producing the data. The method includes a step of subscribing to the class of the data, said step being performed by at least one node consuming the data. The data are conveyed from the producing node to the consuming nodes by use of the Source-Specific Multicast method even in case of only one consuming node, so as to limit data distribution between the nodes. Application: distribution of data in a wide area network, telephony and conferencing.</p> |
