<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of acquiring installation parameters appropriate from the viewpoint of quality of a generated composite image. <P>SOLUTION: In an image display apparatus 1, installation parameters about each of a plurality of vehicle-mounted cameras in a calibration processing are derived on the basis of customer's operations. A composite image indicating a circumference condition of a vehicle 9 from a predetermined virtual viewpoint is generated with the use of the installation parameters and a plurality of images acquired by the plurality of vehicle-mounted cameras. The acceptability of each installation parameter is determined on the basis of comparison results between the generated composite image and a reference image acquired by a vehicle exterior camera 21. Because the acceptance of the installation parameter is determined by the comparison between the generated composite image and the reference image, the appropriate installation parameter can be acquired from the viewpoint of the acceptance of the generated composite image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
