PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prestressed concrete structure addressing a bending moment of inwardly deforming a side wall which may be produced at or in proximity to the lower end of the side wall, as well as a bending moment of outwardly deforming the side wall which may be produced in an area of the side wall above the lower end thereof, with a minimum amount of prestressing members, wherein the structure does not extend a constructing period required for constructing the side wall. SOLUTION: A prestressed concrete structure 10 is formed from at least a bottom plate 1 and a side wall 2 having a circular or substantially circular cylinder shape rigidly coupled to the bottom plate 1. In the side wall 2, a lower-stage tendon 3 extending from the bottom plate 1 to an intermediate location of the side wall 2, a middle-stage tendon 4 extending upward from a location near the upper end of the lower-stage tendon 3 to an intermediate location of the side wall 2, and circumferential tendon arranged in the circumferential direction, are arranged so that each of them is given prestress.
